Hólmatindur dominates the head of Eskifjörður fjord, its heavily eroded ridgeline and angular shoulders shaped by millions of years of basaltic layering, glacial carving and the slow geological subsidence of the East Fjords. The rock here is some of the oldest exposed basalt in Iceland — the East Fjords were the geological heartland of the island long before the central volcanoes began to form. Rendered in white PLA and backlit, the deep gullies and sharp ridgelines hold a level of shadow detail that makes each piece pop.

-14%How it works: Hang your lithophane in a window or place it in front of a light source. Natural or warm artificial light passes through the varying thickness of the PLA to reveal the landscape in astonishing detail.
Note on Material: Every roll of white filament has its own character - even the same "white" can vary slightly from batch to batch, ranging from a cool, bright white to a warmer ivory tone. If you would like several pieces to match exactly, order them together and they will be printed from the same roll.
Printed to order: Your lithophane is 3D printed on demand by Bjarni himself in Germany and shipped to you as soon as it is ready. A one-person workshop can take a few days longer than a big print farm - but your order is made with care, and it will get to you.
