The Atlantic puffin — lundi in Icelandic — returns to Iceland's sea cliffs each summer in the millions, and Iceland hosts nearly 60% of the world's entire Atlantic puffin population. With its clown-bright orange beak, upright stance and complete fearlessness around humans, the lundi has become Iceland's most photographed and beloved bird. Puffins nest in burrows in the clifftops and launch themselves over the edge of the rock to plunge-dive for sand eels with startling precision — an improbable athlete that can fly at 80 km/h and dive to depths of 60 metres.

Note on Material: Every roll of white filament has its own character - even the same "white" can vary slightly from batch to batch, ranging from a cool, bright white to a warmer ivory tone. If you would like several pieces to match exactly, order them together and they will be printed from the same roll.
